The Buzz about Bees
If you are curious about the life of the honeybee, or thought that you may like to take up beekeeping and would like to know more, come along to Talog Community Hall for an evening of insights, information and honey tasting.

Christine Morgan from Haulwen Honey and Shirley Smith from Fynnon Honey will provide an insight into their beekeeping year, focusing on the life cycle of the honeybee.

Taste different types of honey
Spring and summer honey varies as to which plants the bees have foraged on.
Learn about the seasonal effects have on the colour and flavour of honey, from stronger darker flavours through to lighter honey’s.
Explore how wax products are made
Learn about the incredible benefits of honey and beeswax in skin products and the use of beeswax in other products.. Christine will take you though her hand made wax products.
Honey fudge tasting
A second round of tasting as Shirley Smith takes you through her honey fudge and her focus on quality local ingredients.

Handle bee keeping equipment
If you are thinking about keeping bees this is an opportunity to see and handle the equipment you will use.

At the end of the presentation you have the opportunity to purchase their local raw honey, wax products and delicious fudge.
