Mêl Haulwen Honey
The beehives of Mêl Haulwen Honey are situated just two miles outside of Talog, high in the Carmarthenshire hills. The honeybees are free to forage on trees, hedgerows, wild and cultivated flowers as well as flowering shrubs, apple trees and fruiting bushes which are sustainably nurtured at Haulwen.
Honey, 100% beeswax candles, beeswax polish made only with olive oil, moisturising soaps harnessing the benefits of honey and beeswax.
Mêl Haulwen Honey sells only honey and beeswax from the honeybees at Haulwen. Organic and sustainable ingredients are sourced for the soaps and beeswax polish.
Mêl Haulwen Honey practises Natural Beekeeping, which means that the honeybees can live their lives as naturally as possible. They are not disturbed throughout the year; they are allowed to swarm and no treatments are applied. The honey harvest takes place just once a year, ensuring that enough honey is left for the bees to overwinter. Honey is fill of micronutrients that is necessary for honeybee health.
