Raising FREE-RANGE chickens, ducks & turkeys in Blanannerch , Cardigan.

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a farmer. However, not coming from a farming background myself made it feel like an unlikely dream. After much persuasion, my parents allowed me to keep a small flock of hens for egg production. By the time I was sitting my A-levels the laying flock had grown to nearly 100 birds, and I was rearing and selling point of lay pullets.

In June 2011 my wife and I were fortunate enough to buy our first home together with a piece of land directly behind the house that we could rent. Within the first year three mobile sheds were erected to house three small flocks of Hubard Chickens and Aylesbury Ducks. It is here that Postance Poultry began, and it is very much at the same scale of production. From the rearing of chicks through to processing the birds, we pride ourselves on the great lengths we go to ensure the health and welfare of all our birds is always at the highest standard possible.
